Confidence-Boosting Photoshoot in Downtown Lafayette with Krissy

In March I teamed up with Seajay’s Boutique for their anniversary celebration, but there was a second piece to this collaboration! Cynthia wanted to do a giveaway as a thank you to the community for supporting the boutique. It was an incredible giveaway: a styled-for-you outfit from Seajay’s, makeup by Nina Farias, hair by Afterglow, and a mini session with me to show it all off! I simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to help an incredible woman have a confidence-boosting photoshoot in Downtown Lafayette!

From Mom-Mode to Camera-Ready

As a mom of three, Krissy doesn’t often have the time to pamper herself. Once we were able to coordinate everyone’s availability for the same day, Krissy finally got a chance to sit back and relax as everyone worked their magic. She got to have a private shopping experience at Seajay’s, then relax at Afterglow Salon to have her hair and makeup done before meeting me in downtown Lafayette! What I loved most about this day how beautiful and confident Krissy felt. That’s what this session was really about–giving one lucky woman the opportunity to reconnect with her inner confidence, beauty, and strength. Krissy showed up for herself, and it was an honor to capture that!

This session was a reminder for me. My photography (both branding and portraits) can be about more than visuals. It can be a confidence boost, a moment of reflection, and a way to feel grounded in who you are. For women like Krissy, who spend so much of their time taking care of others, it’s powerful to have a moment that’s just for you. These photos capture more than a pretty outfit or good lighting. They capture presence, pride, and the quiet strength that often goes unseen. That’s the kind of work I’m proud to create.
